Welcome to my personal webpage. I'd be happy to receive any questions or feedback from you!
Hi!
Thanks for visiting my site. I am an assistant professor the Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) at Towson University in Maryland.
I finished my PhD in Electrical Engineering in the Department of ECE at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), advised by Dr. Jiang (Linda) Xie. Before that, I worked in the telecom industry for almost five years in Bangladesh.
My younger brother, Avik Mallik, graduated from St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, and is currently working at RBC Wealth Management as a Sr. Software Engineer and Tech Lead. Our youngest brother, Arnob Mallik, has a real talent for Music and Art. He is studying CS at Toronto Metropolitan University.
My beautiful wife, Susmita Bhowmik, is now a PhD candidate in Civil Engineering at Clemson University. She had her master's in Civil Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. We both love to travel, read books, watch movies and TV series, and listen to music. What I can't do, but she can, is cook amazing food. However, when she cooks, I amuse her with my songs. Besides, we love to take walks to remember! Last but not least, our one-year-old baby boy, Aditya Sion Mallik, is running nowadays - keeping us on our toes all the time!
As a person, I am very optimistic and analytical. I love to work in and lead groups toward making dreams happen. I am a reverent of Technology in Computer Science and Networks and its advancements. I am also trying to put my marks in this tech revolution.
What cannot go unmentioned is that I love to spend time with my parents, brothers, and friends as well.
